Best thing about Heritage Hall or Favorite spot on campus?: My favorite spot on campus is the Early Childhood Center. The joy and positive energy in that space is palpable.
Most frequently asked question and answer on tours: Why not wait until high school to send my children to Heritage Hall? It is imperative that the love of learning be instilled in each child from the beginning. The Lower School is focused on providing an uplifting and supportive academic environment, where children feel challenged and also safe to make mistakes. We embrace the motto "risk to try". When all of these components are in place, Heritage Hall students will not only achieve academic success but will flourish both socially and emotionally.
Random/fun fact about you: I like to stay active! I enjoy marathon training, backpacking, and (most importantly) I can juggle while riding my unicycle.
Education: BA English / Secondary Education (7-12) at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA
Favorite OKC restaurant: Frida, Jones Assembly
Best thing about Heritage Hall: Community! As someone who moved here from out of state, I feel I’ve found my second family in the Heritage Hall community.
Favorite spot on campus: It’s hard to pick just one! Ms. Sue’s desk in the Middle School, the baseball field, the halls of the Lower School, the Upper School Art Gallery...
Most frequently asked question and answer on tours: I’m often asked by a parent on a tour, “Can I go to school here, too?” I know... I get it! From the time they are in preschool, students learn to “risk to try” to sound out words or tie their shoe. In Middle and Upper School, that mantra evolves and students are encouraged to “risk to audition” for a musical or “risk to play” a new sport (or both!) As a parent, I love that my kids are encouraged to take these risks - and feel safe to do so.
Ask me about ...my tour of Heritage Hall when I was looking for schools for my children. Believe me, I was a tough sell!
