In the Upper School, we pride ourselves in creating an individualized educational experience for each student by identifying and building upon his or her talents and interests. Throughout a challenging four years, our role is to recognize how our students learn best and prepare them to excel at the university level. Every day, we challenge our students to find innovative solutions to complex problems and develop critical thinking skills that will serve them in leadership roles, in their future educational endeavors, and in anticipation of excelling at professions that may not even exist yet.

Class Schedules
Upper School Hours- 7:30 am: Upper School opens
- 7:45 am: Supervision begins, teachers available for help
- 8:30 am-3:00 pm, MWF; 8:30 am-3:10 pm, T/TH: Classes in session
- 3:15-4:00 pm: Teachers available for help and after-school activities
- 5:00 pm: Upper School closes unless an evening event is scheduled

Student Activities
Upper School students have a wide range of in-school and after-school activities from which to choose. Upper School students must participate in at least two semesters of athletics.Upper School Clubs and After-School Activities- Academic: Academic Team, Book Club, Esports, Model United Nations, Science Olympiad, Virtual Reality Club

Honor Societies
Cum Laude Society
Encourages and recognizes true scholarship. Criteria for membership are judged strictly by GPA on a 100 point scale, designation as a Challenge Scholar and standing in the school. Heritage Hall will induct the top ten students of each senior class who meet these criteria, selecting the top 3 at the end of their junior year and the remaining 7 at the end of their senior year.
National Honor Society
Juniors and Seniors who have a cumulative grade average of 90% or above.
Mu Alpha Theta
To qualify for membership, a student must have completed five semesters of college preparatory mathematics beginning with Algebra I and must be currently enrolled in a sixth semester of mathematics. Also, a student must have earned a cumulative average in all courses of 85%. Each student must have accumulated a minimum of four grades of at least 90% and have no grades lower than an 80% in math classes.
National Chinese Honor SocietyStudents must have a cumulative GPA of 85 and have studied Chinese for at least 8 semesters/ 6 semesters in high school, or an equivalent standard of excellence. Service involves voluntary contributions a student makes to the school or community, done without compensation. Students are desired to continue learning the Chinese language, explore different cultures, and are prepared to be global citizens.National French Honor SocietyStudents should be at least in their fourth semester of French at the High School level. They must have maintained an A- (minus) average or higher in French during the semester of selection, and averaged cumulative grade of A- (minus) or higher for all French work awarded secondary school credit. They must have maintained a B- (minus) average or higher in all other subjects during the semester of selection, and an averaged cumulative grade of B- (minus) or higher in all other subjects for work awarded secondary school credit.
National Spanish Honor SocietyYou are currently enrolled in a Spanish Honors class. The student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior. Must have a 3.5 average or higher for each year of Spanish. You are in the second semester of Spanish Honors II or higher. (3 semesters must be on your transcript). You are willing to continue learning Spanish to the next level. Current teacher recommendation (when necessary).
Computer Science Honor SocietyRequirements for induction are to complete the application. Be a student in 9-12 grades at an approved CSTA+ school. Completed at least one semester of rigorous computer science coursework. Maintained attendance at the school the equivalent of one semester. Achieve an average of at least 80 percent, B, or 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the computer science course. Commit to pursue computer science education either in future high school courses or at the collegiate level. Candidates shall then be evaluated on the basis of service and leadership.
